Brenen Thompson, Spearman, Jr. WR-DB

Spearman’s do-it-all athlete, and Four-star Division I recruit, Thompson had his best game to date as the Lynx knocked Dalhart 48-27. The speedster snagged eight passes for 108 yards with two touchdowns. He had 100 yard kickoff return for a TD, made an 27-yard interception return for a score, and rushed for 45 yards for a fifth touchdown.

Rafe Butcher, Canyon, Sr. LB

Butcher did his part and then some in Canyon’s 36-0 shutout of Lubbock Estacado. The linebacker was stellar, jumping in on nine tackles, added a sack, and capped off the big night with a 72-yard interception return for a touchdown.

Cornelius Landers, Pampa, Sr. QB

The versatile running back had a huge hand in Pampa’s pummeling of arch-rival Borger 56-15 on Friday to stay unbeaten on the year.

Landers had a SportsCenter Top 10 type highlight in the first quarter when he took a toss sweep left, changed direction, then broke six tackles before breaking free for an incredible 56-yard touchdown run. Landers went on for a season-high 167 yards rushing on 11 carries with two scores.

Hesston Marshall, Wheeler, Sr. RB

Wheeler’s dynamic running took over with help from his offensive line in a 15-7 win against Quanah. In the second half alone, Marshall exploded for two touchdown runs of 78 and 19 yards which proved to be the difference. The senior ended his stellar night with a total of 247 of his teams 316 yards on the ground.

Despite a couple of turnovers, Culwell lit up the Bushland Falcons secondary during a 46-19 route Friday. The 6-footA senior finished the game 19-of-31 for 302 yards and eye-opening five touchdowns.

Gunner Lamb, Groom, Sr. SB

The senior do-it-all star for the Tigers had the game fans had been waiting for during a 52-40 home victory against Nazareth. Lamb was unstoppable passing for 176 yards and three scores, rushing for 117 yards with two more scores.

Malachi Torres, Friona, Sr. RB

Friona is still undefeated with a hard fought 27-20 win against rival Muleshoe and Torres is a big reason why. Torres torched the Mules for a game-high 209 yards on the ground with two touchdowns, one of which was 67-yards.

Wes Jones, Panhandle, Sr. QB

Wes Jones made his presence felt in a big way as Panhandle held off Vega 42-35. Making his first start since returning from a hand injury, the senior ran for 113 yards on 12 carries with a touchdown, and threw for 150 yards with three TD passes.

Avian Cruz, WT High, Sr. QB

Cruz did all he could to get his Comanches in the win column, though it wasn’t easy in a close 34-28 victory against Gruver. The speedy dual-threat senior quarterback led the team in with 243 passing yards and 4 touchdown passes, tacking on 90 rushing yards with a score.

Trever Bell, Stratford, Sr. QB

Trever Bell made the transition to quarterback relatively east. The Stratford senior, who’s dad Adam led the Elks to the school’s first state title in 2000, went 13-of-16 for 139 yards with a touchdown. Bell also used his legs toting the ball 16 times for 139 yards with three scores.
