Thursday’s game

Tascosa (3-1, 0-0) vs. Palo Duro (0-3, 0-0), 7 p.m.

These two teams first met way back in 1958;

This city rivalry has seen some good and some great;

Tascosa has speed galore and riding high after beating MOJO;

This city rivalry first played out in 1963;

The Rock and Sandies many times have been a must see.

This is a district opener for these two playoff teams;

But both need a win if a title is in their future dreams.

Canadian (6-1, 3-0) at Friona (5-2, 2-1), 7 p.m. The Chieftains are a solid football team but the No. 1-ranked Wildcats are on a different level right now. … Canadian 46, Friona 13
