High School Volleyball District roundup – Randall sweeps season series from West Plains

District 4-4A

Randall sweeps West Plains 

Randall keeps on rolling winning its 30th game of the season and getting a season sweep of new rival West Plains with a Saturday sweep, 25-17, 25-14, 26-14.

The Lady Raiders, who have already punched a playoff ticket, improve to 11-0 in District 4-4A and move to 30-8 overall. Junior Jordyn Gove had a special milestone take place in the win. Gove had a tremendous showing finishing with 23 kills and 21 digs for a double-double. The 21 digs also put her over 1,000 digs for her career. Tatum Brandt hit the floor for 32 digs giving her 500 digs for her career. Syndey Soria ran the offense extremely well with 41 assists. West Plains was led by Jayli Franklin’s 14 digs and five kills. The Lady Wolves (29-7 overall) remain in third place at 7-4 in district.

Hereford, Pampa, Canyon win 

Hereford stays one game behind Randall for first place in District 4-4A by sweeping Dumas 25-19, 25-23, 25-14.

The Lady Whitefaces (31-7 overall) are in the playoffs at 10-1 in district. Dumas struggles continues at 21-19 overall and 3-8 in the league. London Baker tallied a double-double with 34 assists and 12 digs.

Pampa stayed in fourth place getting a sweep of Perryton 25-9, 25-18, 25-13. The Lady Harvesters are 6-5 in District 4-4A and 22-13 overall. Canyon stayed a game behind Pampa by beating Borger 25-18, 25-11, 25-20. The Lady Eagles move to 5-6 in district and 10-28.

District 3-5A

Amarillo High, Tascosa cruise

Amarillo High continued its run toward the Class 5A postseason with a sweep of Palo Duro 25-7, 25-11, 25-15.

The Lady Sandies are a perfect 6-0 in District 3-5A and 29-9 overall. Palo Duro slips to 14-18, 0-5.

Claire Foster knocked down 10 kills with a eye-opening hitting percentage of .643. She also had two blocks. Teammate Kaylie Ledbetter added 12 digs and six assists.

Tascosa stayed a game back of Amarillo High with a win over Caprock 25-12, 25-12, 25-22.

Meredith Sanning played great with 34 assists and two aces. Saphina Stanley led the team with 12 kills. Tascosa is now 22-16 overall and 5-1 in District 3-5A. Caprock is 2-4 in the league and 19-16 overall.

District 1-3A

River Road, Dalhart take home W’s

River Road had no problems getting past Dimmitt 25-8, 25-11, 25-16 on Saturday.

The Lady Wildcats improve to 3-3 in District 1-3A and 13-16 overall. Dimmitt falls to 3-27, 0-4. Rylee Kunkel had nine kills with nine assists and five aces. Reese DeHart had a solid outing with 11 assists and five aces.

Dalhart earned a big victory taking down Friona 25-22, 25-14, 25-14. The Lady Golden Wolves pull into a second-place tie with Friona at 3-3 in district. Dalhart pushes its overall record to 14-17, while Friona falls to 16-14. \
