The Bushland Lady Falcons will carry on two monumental streaks into 2021.

The Lady Falcons finished off the regular season with a sweep of Dalhart 25-15, 25-14, 25-7 on the road Saturday. The victory may seem like another day at the office by the No. 3 Lady Falcons but it meant so much more. A tradition-rich Bushland program (24-2 overall, 6-0 in District 1-3A) won its 14th straight district championship dating back to 2006, while extending its incredible district winning streak to 67th straight district match. Bushland’s last district loss came to Highland Park in 2011.

Bushland, a program that’s won four state volleyball championships —2007, 2008, 2013, 2016 — since the doors in 2005 will open the UIL Class 4A playoffs against Tulia at a time and place to be determined.

Notes

The small schools (Class 4A-Class 1) have wrapped up the regular season Saturday while Class 6A-5A schools will continue the regular season.

The Amarillo-area will see one seeding game with the possibility of two before the postseason later this week.

In District 4-1A, Wildorado and Miami will play for the No. 1-seed at 4 p.m. Tuesday in Stinnett.

In District 2-3A, Shallowater plays Idalou in a regular season finale Monday. If Shallowater beats Idalou, then Idalou and Childress will play a seeding game for second place at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Plainview.
