Bushland overcame its first deficit of District 1-3A play to run-rule River Road 12-2 at home Thursday afternoon.
The Lady Wildcats jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the top of the first thanks to a pair of solo homers from Maribella Perez and Shiyan Lozano.
From that point forward the Lady Falcons took over plating eight runs in the bottom of the second to secure the victory. Freshman Brylee Adams had a spectacular day for Bushland. Adams 2-for-4 with a homer, a double, driving in six runs. Adams also threw all five innings, allowing two earned runs, three hits and nine strikeouts.
Bushland remains perfect in district at 4-0, and 19-2 overall. River Road falls to 7-11, 1-3.

Lady Wolves roll over Canadian
An eight-run second inning was more than enough to lift Dalhart past Canadian for a 14-4 win in Dalhart on Thursday.
Dalhart (8-6 overall) remains a game back of Bushland with a 3-1 mark in District 1-3A, while Canadian falls to 3-16, 0-4.
Cristal Davila was 2-for-3 for Dalhart with a pair of RBIs. Teammate Mattie Leaton added a 3-for-4 day at the dish with two RBIs, as Molly Lockhart doubled and drove in a run.
Rhiana Todd pitched all five innings in the circle, scattering three hits with five K’s.

Caprock pummels Plainview
Caprock bounces back from its first district loss by downing Plainview, 13-3, in a 3-5A contest at Caprock on Thursday.
The Lady Longhorns remain in a first place tie in the league with Amarillo High and Randall at 3-1, and improve to 7-5 overall. Plainview drops to 8-14, 1-3.
Amyiah Alaniz earned the win throwing all six innings, surrendering six hits, while allowing two earned runs with five strikeouts.
Offensively, Kiera Chavez did the damage with the long ball jacking two 3-run home runs. Chavez finished the game going 2-for-3 on the day with a game-high six RBIs. Teammate Jaelin Ornelas got in on the fun with a 2-for-3 performance including a double, and two RBIs.

Randall run-rules Tascosa
A fast start elevated Randall to a 17-7 District 3-5A home victory against Tascosa on Thursday.
Short stop Leah Garcia had a perfect day at the plate hitting safely all four times, going 4-for-4 with a double, a pair of homers for a total of four RBIs. Garcia wasn’t the only Lady Raider with a big afternoon at the plate. Heaven Moreno was 4-for-5 adding a double while driving in four runs of her own.
Randall (12-9-1) keeps pace with Caprock and Amarillo High by moving to 3-1 in district. Tascosa is now 5-10, 1-3.

AHS routes Palo Duro
Amarillo High had no problems traveling across town gaining a 34-1 run-rule win against Palo Duro on Thursday.
AHS racked up 30 hits, 11 of those for extra-bases in the victory.
Ryleigh Robertson had a hot bat hitting three singles, a triple, adding a home run for a 5–for-6 day at the dish totaling seven RBIs.
Lady Sandies versatile standout Danae Lopez not only worked three scoreless innings of relief allowing no runs, one hit and racking up five strikeouts, but Lopez was also 4-for-6 at the plate, lacing a double, and driving in four runs.
The Lady Sandies improve to 8-8, and stay atop the district race with Caprock and Randall at 3-1. Palo Duro falls to 1-8, 1-3.

Canyon dismantles Dumas
Canyon keeps its perfect record in District 4-4A by downing Dumas on the road 14-1 on Thursday.
Kylie Knowles did it all in the victory for the Lady Eagles. Knowles (9-5) earned the win tossing all five innings, scattering three hits with 11 strikeouts. At the plate the sophomore was equally impressive going 2-for-4 including a double, a home run to go with four RBIs. Kaylie Davis tacked on three RBIs on a 3-for-4 day including a pair of doubles.
Canyon (10-7-2) stays all alone in the district lead at 4-0. Dumas drops to 8-9, 2-2.

Hereford outlasts Borger
Hereford has put together back-to-back wins after taking down Borger 14-9 on the road in a district clash Thursday.
The Lady Whitefaces, who started 0-2 in District 4-4A, now find themselves at 2-2 and 6-15 overall. Borger falls to 10-4, 1-3.
Tori Alamos picked up her second straight win in the circle working all five innings, allowing a hit with five K’s.
Catcher Kayla Vallejo was clutch on the offensive side for Hereford going 2-for-4 adding a homer, a double with six RBIs. Teammate Jasmine Sanchez added four RBIs going a perfect 4-for-4 with a double and a triple.

Pampa shuts down Perryton
The Pampa Lady Harvesters made the most of Good Friday by run-ruling Perryton 14-0 at home.
Kynleigh Kirby was the star of the afternoon as the freshman worked four scoreless innings, allowed one hit, tallying up 11 K’s to earn the victory.
Kirby also used her skill at the plate thanks to a pair of doubles to driving in three RBIs. Teammate Jade Shackelford added a 2-for-2 afternoon with a double, driving in two runs.
The Lady Harvesters improve to 10-4-1 overall and 3-1 in district. Perryton falls to 5-7, 0-4.
