Class 2A

Dalhart (3-2) at Stratford (2-3), 7 p.m. It has been a rough going of late for the Elks and the schedule doesn’t get easier with smash mouth Dalhart coming to Sam Bass. This will be a good one. … Dalhart 30, Stratford 23

Vega (3-2) at Clarendon (5-0), 7 p.m. It’s the No. 6 Broncos biggest nondistrict test before opening a very competitive district schedule. The Longhorns can mash, and score in multiple ways. Look for Clarendon to use its speed and limit mistakes. … Clarendon 28, Vega 22

Wheeler (4-1) at Gruver (1-4), 7 p.m. This is a better game than some might think. The Greyhounds are improving by the week. Hesston Marshall at QB, getting the touches maybe hard for Gruver to contain in the end though. …. Wheeler 25, Gruver 12

Nazareth (2-3) at White Deer (4-1), 7 p.m. This is the Six-man game of the night. White Deer came into the season as a favorite to win the region, but have looked vulnerable at times. The Swifts have the size that White Deer usually considers a strength compared to other teams. These two teams match up very well, but give me the Nazareth upset. … Nazareth 68, White Deer 64

Meadow (0-4) at Happy (4-1), 7 p.m. The Cowboys fell short in their matchup with No. 2-ranked Sterling City in a good one last week. Happy is on the cusp of where they want to be, and are ready to get there. Everyone else should steer clear. … Happy 63, Meadow 20
