Dalhart downs Friona

The Dalhart Golden Wolves erased an early 14-point deficit to Friona only to answer 49 straight of their own to nab a convincing 49-21 win at Chieftains Stadium on Friday.

No one knew if the scoring was going to stop after sitting through a first quarter that saw 35 points scored and over 250 total yards. For one team, the Golden Wolves, the scoring didn’t stop. Wheeler was hot out of the gate and never slowed down Friday night at Highland Park as they captured the 65-0 win over the Hornets.

Bushland wears down Stratford

Bushland used its up-tempo offense to eventually wear down a talented Stratford squad 35-14 on Friday night at E.L. Sam Bass Stadium.

Bushland rebounds from a loss to Canadian last week, improving to 2-2 overall while Stratford falls to 2-2.

The Elks and Falcons went back and forth in the first half. Stratford took an early 6-0 lead on a Zane Burr 44-yard gallop.
