2022 High School Baseball Texas Panhandle Regional Semifinal playoff pairings

Three Texas Panhandle High School baseball teams remain into the fourth round of the University Interscholastic League playoffs.

In Class 4A, Canyon (22-7) is making its ninth regional semifinal appearance under veteran head coach John Doan. The Eagles will face Argyle (30-3) with the first of a best-of-3 series starting at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday night at Abilene Christian University.

Clarendon is making its first appearance in the Class 2A regional semifinals since the 2016 season, and only the second fourth round appearance in school history. The Broncos (21-5) look to keep their momentum rolling when they open the best-of-3 series against Albany (19-4) at 7 p.m. Thursday on the campus of Lubbock Christian University.

In Class 1A, the Nazareth Swifts, the defending Region I champions, look to get back to the UIL State Baseball Tournament for a second straight year. The Swifts face a huge showdown with Ira in a battle of unbeaten teams. Nazareth is 18-0 so far on the season, while Ira is 22-0. The best-of-3 series begins at 7 p.m. Friday at Lubbock-Cooper High School.

Class 4A

Regional semifinals 

Canyon (22-7) vs. Argyle (30-3), at Crutcher Scott Field, Abilene Christian University 

Game 1: 7:30 p.m. Wednesday

Game 2: 11 a.m. Thursday

Game 3: 30 minutes following Game 2, if necessary

Class 2A

Regional semifinals

Clarendon (21-5) vs. Albany (19-4), at Lubbock Christian University 

Game 1: 7 p.m. Thursday

Game: 2 p.m. Saturday

Game 3: 30 minutes following Game 2, if necessary

Class 1A

Region I-1A finals 

Nazareth (18-0) vs Ira (22-0), at Lubbock-Cooper HS

Game 1: 7 p.m. Friday

Game 2: 5 p.m. Saturday

Game 3: 30 minutes following Game 2, if necessary
