Last season the first-team All-District selection snagged 60 balls for 753 yards with nine touchdowns.

Major Everhart, Tascosa, 5-foot-10, 175 pounds, Jr. RB

Even with All-State QB Joseph Plunk running the show in the Rebels backfield last year, Everhart was able to show flashes of his untapped potential. The dual-threat QB finished the year throwing for 2,331 yards with 23 touchdown tosses, and ran for 562 yards with another 10 scores.

Robbie Barba, Caprock, 5-foot-11, 195 pounds, Sr. OL-DL, Sr.

Ollie Swope, Tascosa, 6-foot-4, 331 pounds, Sr. OL

Big, strong, and mobile is the only describe the physical mismatch. Swope made eight starts up front for a Tascosa team that went 10-4 last season, advancing to a second straight Class 6A Division II state quarterfinals. Swope does his job without expectation of being recognized, and has the ability to be a top O-lineman by season’s end.

Noel Marquez, Palo Duro, 6-foot-1, 160 pounds, Sr. QB

Marquez makes the move from from safety to take over as the new Palo Duro quarterback replacing three-year standout Dondray DeGrate. Head coach Chris Fisher says Marquez is a great competitor and leader with big expectations.

Martinez brings much needed help to the Longhorns backfield, however, it’s the defensive side of the ball that’s his specialty. The second-team All-District linebacker hopes to improve off a junior year where he made 26 tackles, three sacks, and a fumble recovery for a TD.

Branson Britten, Randall, Randall, 6-foot, 195 pounds, Sr. LB

T.J Warren, Palo Duro, 6-foot-2, 265 pounds, Sr. OL

Warren made 10 starts as a sophomore only to see his junior season get cut in 2019 due to injury. Now 100 percent healthy, Warren is ready to step out on the field and establish himself as one of the top lineman in the Amarillo-area.
